Sergey Lebedev
Sergey is an analogue photographer based in Kyiv, Ukraine. He has been engaged in photography since he was 10 years old, so photography has been important in his life for over 35 years. He has experimented with and worked in many photographic analog techniques: silver gelatin, ambrotype, gum oil, lith print, mordancage, cyanotype, chemical painting, cyanotransfer (his own method), Mordancage lumen print, and others. He has published three photo books featuring his work, and is currently preparing a fourth one, which will be released in November. His works are in private collections around the world and in several museums. Sergey has a degree in cinematography and worked in film and television for about 20 years.
Process (Lith Print)
A lith print is a silver gelatine print which has been over exposed and partially developed in highly diluted lith film developer. Lith prints may display delicate, soft, warm toned highlights and mid tones as well as cool, gritty and harsh shadows.
